About Us
We built this business around one simple idea: a buyer deserves an honest, independent opinion on a used car before they hand over their money — not a sales pitch from someone with a stake in the deal.
Every year, thousands of Sydney buyers purchase a used car privately or through a dealer without ever having it independently inspected. Most of the time it works out fine. But when it doesn't, the average unexpected repair bill runs into the thousands of dollars — money that a $250 to $280 inspection could have identified and avoided entirely, or at the very least, factored into the negotiation.
We started this service because we saw too many buyers get burned by cars that looked perfect in photos and sounded fine over the phone, only to reveal serious hidden problems once a mechanic actually got underneath them. Our job is to make sure that never happens to you.
Every inspection is carried out by a fully qualified, licensed NSW mechanic with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. We have no affiliation with any dealership, financier or car sales platform, and we accept no commissions or referral fees of any kind from sellers.
This independence is the entire point of the service. A dealer's own condition report, or a seller's word that 'it's never given us any trouble', is not the same as an unbiased mechanical assessment from someone with nothing to gain either way.
We always insist on inspecting the car cold — never after the seller has conveniently warmed it up before we arrive — because a cold start reveals far more than a warm one. We photograph every fault we find, so you have clear, shareable evidence rather than a verbal opinion. And we call you directly, every time, with a frank walkthrough of exactly what we found and what we'd do in your position.
We've inspected everyday family cars, prestige European vehicles, utes, 4WDs, hybrids and electric vehicles across every corner of Sydney — from harbourside mansions in Mosman to growth-corridor estates in Oran Park. Wherever the car is, we can usually get there within 24 to 48 hours.
